Introduction

IEC 12 is a International Level Business Plan competition. It is unique in its quest to provide a platform for the budding Entrepreneurs of tomorrow to come to the forefront and achieve what they dream with guidance from mentors and knowledge partners. The salient features of IEC 12 are -

General Rules

• A team should comprise of a maximum of 4 members.
• Students from different institutes can form a team.
• No student can be a part of more than one team.
• A team cannot submit multiple entries.
• There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute or organization.
• Participation can be in one of the 4 categories: Undergraduate, Postgraduate (including Research Scholars), Corporate and Startups.
• Each team can register only under one category. Teams with members from diverse categories are not allowed.
• Teams which have registered their company/startup before 1st October 2009 are not eligible to participate in IEC’12.
• Entries must contain the original work of participants. Any identified act of plagiarism will be immediately disqualified.
• The teams should strictly adhere to the deadlines mentioned.
• The organizers hold the right to cancel or withdraw any prizes / prize money / certificates at any point in time.
• The teams, under no circumstances, are allowed to contact any E-Cell sponsors, knowledge partners or mentors; failing which their entries/prizes will stand cancelled.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Round 1 Guidelines

ROUND I  - Executive Summary Submission

• The Executive Summary should be submitted in the Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt/pptx) format only.
• Entries in PDF format will not be accepted.
• Each entry should have a cover slide stating the Team Information stated below:

• The ppt can have a maximum of eight slides excluding the cover slide.
• The Executive Summary should include data and information on but not limited to the following:

*Exact distribution of prizes will be duly notified

**Incubation facility with all charges covered for the top 3 teams or 3 teams decided by Aegis Centre for Entrepreneurship from the finalists

***AIC will present the 6 finalists to the selection committee. If shortlisted, the team(s) will be presented to angel investors from the AIC.

****Top 10 teams will be presented to the selection committee of The Hatch Startup Accelerator Program [SAP] or Mentoring Program (if found eligible by The Hatch and liable to all terms & conditions of The Hatch’s Policies of SAP and Mentoring Program.) of which at least 2 teams will be selected for the SAP or the Mentoring Program. Shortlisted entries will also be showcased to the incubation centre network of The Hatch.
