The Grand Finale of International Entrepreneurship Challenge 2009 saw six teams battling it out for the ultimate prize on 5th December 2009. Kicked off on 25th September, IEC witnessed more than 250 qualified entries.

On the final day, the event started at 11:00 hrs with Prof. Vivek Suneja, Dean (Planning) of Delhi University and Professor of Strategy at Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, delivering the keynote address in front of the finalists and media. Prof. V.Suneja gave an enriching insight about the relevance of Entrepreneurship in the management institutes and the importance of including the bottom of the pyramid for the success of new ventures particularly in the Indian context

The event was judged by the following highly qualified and experienced veterans:
1. Prof. Vivek Suneja | Professor of Strategy, FMS Delhi and Dean of Planning, Delhi University 
2. Dr. Anil Wali | MD, FITT, IIT Delhi
3. Gautam Munshi | Co-founder and CEO, Redwood Associates
4. Sharat Jain | President & Co-founder, Online Recharge Services Private Limited

Each team presented there business idea in about 15 minutes followed by a gruelling question and answer session with the judges. Each idea was thoroughly analyzed by the judges down to the nitty gritties of the concept. Suggestions and advice was given to many teams by the experienced jury.

The Grand Finale of one of the Biggest Business Plan Contests, IEC 2008, was concluded with a vote of thanks from Dhruv Anand, President, Entrepreneurship Cell, Faculty of Management Studies, who thanked the Sponsors, Venture Capital Partners, Media Partners, Incubation Partners, Knowledge Partners, Official Management Portal, mentors, and everyone connected to the event, directly or indirectly, whose support ensured that the event was a great success.
