NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE 2005

National
Entrepreneurship Challenge 2005 (NEC' 05) is the first
endeavor of E-Cell after its inception towards realizing
its mission. This is the first of its kind Business Plan
competition by any B-School in India where participation
was invited from both Undergraduate and Post-graduate
students of various colleges across the nation.
NEC sponsored by YES BANK is an earnest attempt to help
people in nurturing their dreams of creating new things
from scratch. It aims to provide a platform to help
people in showcasing their ideas and structuring their
thoughts in the less explored field of entrepreneurship.
The event is being conducted at two levels:
- The Undergraduate
Level
- The Post Graduate
Level
The contest is open to
all Postgraduate and 20 Undergraduate colleges across
India. The contest is a three stage process which
involves:
- Executive summary
selection
- Mentorship
- Final Presentation
in front of the Board of Directors and Venture
Capitalists
To help the teams in
their business plans the teams will be getting guidance
from the mentors who will provide them critical inputs
on how to make the plan into a viable business model.
The final presentations of the business plans will be in
front of the Board of Directors who are industry
luminaries and have several years of experience.
The event has the backing of the venture capitalists and
the top teams will get the chance of presenting in front
of the venture capitalists panel. The final aim of the
plan should be to help top two teams realize their dream
of starting up.
